DMF Working Group
Travel Drumheller is a not-for-profit organization that is funded by a voluntary Destination Marketing Fee (DMF). This fee is collected by participating Drumheller accommodations. It also receives funding from Travel Alberta, the Town of Drumheller, partnerships and other grants.
One of the strategic objectives of Travel Drumheller is to create greater organization sustainability by diversifying and increasing contributions to the organization. Specifically, an objective is “to develop and expand the DMF program.”. With fortified sustainability, Travel Drumheller will continue to:
- support the Drumheller Valley grow as a desirable destination.
- deliver quality marketing campaigns to highlight the Valley.
- increase support for destination development benefitting the community and visitors.
To achieve this objective the board of directors have created a DMF working group. This group will work with the team at Travel Drumheller to develop and expand the DMF program.
We are inviting three members of the Drumheller region tourism industry to share their expertise and join the group.
The intention is that initially the group will be active for one year with monthly meetings. The terms of reference can be found here for guidance. Terms of Reference

It is anticipated that the first meeting will take place in April 2024.
