- Seasonal treats & hot drinks
- Activities for kids: crafts, train rides, Santa visits
- Live music at East Coulee School Museum across the river
- A unique rural-Albertan festive vibe, unlike your typical city light show
Local Vibes & Extras
- The event is a heartfelt fundraiser: part of the admission supports preserving Alberta’s industrial heritage.
- Grab the chance to explore both the Atlas site and the charming East Coulee School Museum, adding authentic small-town flavour.
- Because of the location in the Badlands, arrive early to adjust to evening conditions — and leave with fresh memories.
Tips for a Great Visit
- Bring warm boots, layered clothing, gloves & hat — the cold bites and terrain can be tricky.
- Have a camera ready: the light reflections on rugged terrain + historic structures = perfect photo ops.
- Arrive early (around 5pm) so you can soak in the atmosphere before the major crowd arrives.
- If you’ve got young children, the train rides and Santa stop make this a perfect family outing.
- Consider making an evening of it: enjoy the display, pop next door to East Coulee School Museum for some snacks & music.
