Gran Fondo Badlands
Experience the Badlands on two wheels at the Gran Fondo Badlands, one of Western Canada’s most unique road cycling events. Riders travel through the dramatic landscapes of Drumheller, passing towering hoodoos, winding river valleys, and sweeping prairie views along the Red Deer River.
The event offers four route options — 50 km, 75 km, 100 km, and 163 km — making it accessible for everyone from recreational cyclists to experienced endurance riders. Participants ride at their own pace while enjoying fully supported aid stations, course safety teams, and mechanical support along the route.
The ride begins and finishes at the Badlands Community Facility, just steps from the world-famous dinosaur statue, where cyclists can fuel up with breakfast before the ride and celebrate afterward with a catered lunch and beer gardens.
With stunning scenery, welcoming volunteers, and a vibrant cycling community, Gran Fondo Badlands has become a must-ride event for cyclists exploring Alberta’s legendary Badlands.
