What Makes an Experience… Truly Memorable?

The most powerful visitor experiences don’t just show places —
they connect people to them.

An experience is meaningful when it:
✔ Engages the senses
✔ Invites participation, not just observation
✔ Connects emotionally through real human stories
✔ Reflects the spirit of the place and the people who live here
✔ Leaves guests changed — even just a little

It’s not just tourism.
It’s storytelling.
It’s community-building.

Experience Crafting Program

Travel Drumheller’s path to building locally-led, story-rich experiences

Join us on a path to learning how to build locally-led, story-rich experiences for both visitors and residents. We are currently accepting applications for the first cohort of Experience Partners – submit your application today.

Accepted applicants will be required to participate in a two day course scheduled for February 9 and 10 in Drumheller. This is a fully immersive learning experience led by qualified facilitators. In attempts to lower the financial barriers for participants Travel Drumheller has subsidized this training. The course costs $200 which covers all of the course materials, lunches, coffee, and snacks.

At the conclusion of the two-day course, five businesses will be selected to receive 1:1 coaching and launch preparation. The subsidized cost for the additional coaching if you are selected is $300.

Upcoming Training:

February 9 – 10, 2026 9:00AM – 5:00PM MST In person in Drumheller

Apply today to be considered in the first cohort of the Experience Development Training Program.

Please reach out if you have a great idea, but the cost is still a barrier for your participation.

“What excites us most is the creativity in this community. Drumheller is full of people with incredible ideas just waiting to be brought to life.”
