Tourism Development Fund
Travel Drumheller has funding available for up to $5,000 for events, marketing, and product development in the Drumheller region. The intention of this program is to provide seed funding for partners to start or expand events and products, or to enhance the customer experience so that customers want to share their experience with others and return to your business or event.
All Travel Drumheller stakeholders are encouraged to apply. For 2025, there are two funding streams, Events or Projects, both with 3 intake dates: December 31, 2024, March 31, 2025, and June 30, 2025. Applications must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the start of your project or event. Read the 2025 Funding Guidelines prior to submitting your application. Celebration of Excellence – Tourism Awards
For 2024, Travel Drumheller will be recognizing 3 categories at the Celebration of Excellence – Hospitality Ambassador, Tourism Business of the Year, and Event of the Year.
The Hospitality Ambassador Award is for an individual that goes above and beyond to help customers and guests.
The Tourism Business of the Year for a business or organization which has shown excellence in offering experiences to visitors in the Drumheller region.
New this year, the Event of the Year goes to a group for organizing and executing an event that brings in visitors from outside the region and contributes to the vibrancy of the community.
Nominations for awards will be open March 3 to 24, 2025.
This year’s Celebration of Excellence will be on June 12, 2025 at the Badlands Community Facility. Tickets will go on sale in May.

Ad space for the 2025 Exploration Guide has now closed.
The Exploration Guide is Drumheller’s travel magazine, showcasing all the fantastic places to explore in the region, including where to stay, eat, and play.

There will be 14,000 copies of the Guide printed for 2005 that will be ready for early March. It will be also be available online, linked directly from the Travel Drumheller homepage and through stickers & postcards with a linked QR code.
