Published annually by Travel Drumheller, the guide inspires visitors to plan their trip while highlighting the local businesses, attractions, events, and experiences that make the Canadian Badlands a must-visit destination.
Advertising opportunities are available for tourism businesses looking to connect with visitors as they plan their Drumheller adventure.

Celebration of Excellence – Tourism Awards
The Event
To recognize hard work and commitment to the regional tourism industry, Travel Drumheller recognizes 3 categories at the Celebration of Excellence – Hospitality Ambassador, Tourism Business of the Year, and Event of the Year.
The Hospitality Ambassador Award is for an individual that goes above and beyond to help customers and guests.
The Tourism Business of the Year for a business or organization which has shown excellence in offering experiences to visitors in the Drumheller region.
New this year, the Event of the Year goes to a group for organizing and executing an event that brings in visitors from outside the region and contributes to the vibrancy of the community.
Nominations for 2026 awards will be open in March 2027

Tourism Development Fund
The Tourism Development Fund provides financial support to help grow tourism experiences in the Drumheller region. Through this program, Travel Drumheller invests in events, tourism products, and visitor experience enhancements that strengthen our destination and encourage more people to visit, stay longer, and return.
The Tourism Development Fund is available exclusively to Travel Drumheller Partners. If you’re not currently a partner, we’d love to hear from you. Learn more about becoming a Travel Drumheller Partner.
Successful applicants may receive up to $5,000 in funding for eligible projects.
Funding Streams
Event Stream
Supports recurring tourism events that attract visitors to the Drumheller region and contribute to a vibrant year-round destination.
Project Stream
Supports tourism product development, marketing initiatives, and visitor experience enhancements that strengthen local tourism businesses and organizations.
2026 Intake Dates
- August 24, 2026
- October 26, 2026
Applications must be submitted at least 30 days before your event or project begins.
Funding is limited and applications will be accepted until all available funds have been allocated.
Already Received Funding?
If your project or event has been completed, please submit your Close-Out Report within 45 days.
