1. Eligibility
The “Design Our Merch” Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees of Travel Drumheller, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
2. Sponsor
The contest is sponsored by Travel Drumheller, located at 181 Railway Ave E, Drumheller, AB T0J 0Y0, Canada.
3. Agreement to Official Rules
Participation in the contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
4. Contest Period
The contest begins on July 19, 2024, at 01:00 AM MST and ends on August 16, 2024, at 11:59 PM MST (the “Contest Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will be disqualified.
5. How to Enter
To enter, participants must:
- Visit the Travel Drumheller website and fill out the contest submission form.
- Upload their original design in high-resolution format (PNG, JPG, or PDF).
- Include a brief description of the design and the inspiration behind it. Limit one entry per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
6. Submission Guidelines
- Designs must be original and not infringe on any third-party rights.
- Designs should reflect the spirit and beauty of Drumheller.
- Entries containing offensive or inappropriate content will be disqualified.
- By submitting a design, entrants grant Travel Drumheller the right to use, modify, and publish the design for promotional purposes.
7. Judging and Selection of Winners
Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and how well they capture the essence of Drumheller. A panel of judges from Travel Drumheller will review all submissions and select the top designs. These top designs will then be posted on our social media for public voting.
8. Prizes
- 1st Place: $500 Cash Prize and the opportunity to have the design featured on Travel Drumheller merchandise.
- Fan Favourite: The design that garners the most votes from our community will also win a special prize and have the honor of being featured in our merch lineup.
- To ensure fairness, each participant whose design is shortlisted (top 5) will receive a nominal fee for their submission, acknowledging their effort and creativity.
- All winners will receive a Travel Drumheller swag bag.
9. Rights and Usage:
- Travel Drumheller will obtain the rights to use the winning design for merchandise purposes.
- For non-winning entries, Travel Drumheller will not claim any rights or use the designs without explicit permission from the artist.
10. Winner Notification
Winners will be notified via email within 7 days of the contest end date and will be announced on the Travel Drumheller website and social media channels. If a winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim the prize within 7 days of notification, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner selected.
11. General Conditions
Travel Drumheller reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Travel Drumheller’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the contest, as determined by Travel Drumheller in its sole discretion. Travel Drumheller reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
12. Limitation of Liability
By participating in the contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Travel Drumheller, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any and all liability for any injury, loss, or damage to person, including death, or property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize, participation in any contest-related activity, or participation in the contest.
13. Privacy Policy
Information collected from entrants is subject to Travel Drumheller’s privacy policy.
14. Governing Law
The contest is governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
